Somatic Coaching & Healing
An alternative to talk therapy. Body-centered, collaborative work rooted in the belief that when we quiet the mind and turn toward sensation with curiosity — feeling into our emotions rather than analyzing them — we loosen their grip, and the thoughts that once held us back begin, slowly, to release.

Before language, there was sensation. Somatic healing is a practice of learning to listen.
somasahar is a somatic healing & coaching practice by Sahar Saleem: an alternative to talk therapy for people ready to move out of survival mode that functions on autopilot and into a lighter, more embodied relationship with themselves and the world around them. Somatics isn’t just about feeling at ease, it’s about reconnecting with what makes you feel alive. Drawing on ancestral and indigenous somatic practices, Internal Family Systems, Integral Coaching, Jungian Shadow Work, Natal Astrology, creative ritual, Sufi and Taoist tradition, and intuitive guidance.

ABOUT SAHAR
Somatic practitioner, memory archaeologist, astrologer, strategist, and intuitive guide.
My work sits at the intersection of body, lineage, psyche, social justice, and cultural identity. I blend Eastern and Western wisdom to help people reconnect with their truth through embodied, somatic practice. We live in a world that often rewards the “logical” stories we tell ourselves about our feelings (mind) over the feelings themselves (body). This leads to a lot of self-awareness without clear relief. My work invites people to come back into relationship with their bodies as a source of wisdom, release, safety, and self-trust.
Born in the U.A.E., raised across the Gulf and the U.S., and shaped by my experiences as a Pakistani-American, neurodivergent, third culture kid, my approach is grounded in a lived understanding of what it means to navigate complexity, hold multiple identities, and live between worlds. I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology & Creative Writing from New York University, a Somatic Attachment Therapy and an IFS-Informed Somatic Trauma Therapy certification from The Embody Lab, and a PCC in Integral Coaching from New Ventures West.
With 10+ years of experience in strategy & leadership at PepsiCo and 5+ years working with artists, activists, filmmakers, entrepreneurs, and leaders across creative, tech, and wellness spaces, my approach combines somatic and developmental coaching with ancestral insight, psychology, and creative ritual to support people in building confidence, softening survival patterns, unlearning systemic conditioning, and stepping toward their goals with intention and ease.

Real relief and transformation come when we stop analyzing our feelings from a distance and start befriending what is alive in the body in a present moment.
